September 4, email to Alison Bettencourt, Major Martha Brooks, Army Public Affairs

Sorry to have to ambush you ladies, and I’m sorry you got so nervous when I began to ask about the ethics of information, and so forth (you know, the Constitution?).

Did I really rattle you girls when I started talking about prison time?  Yep, that’s what I meant.  You see, my book is soon to come out, and it implicates dozens of personnel I’ve spoken with, both military and civilian.  Like who?  Well, let’s just start with my black list.  No, let’s don’t.  Instead let’s start with my op-ed, “3/7 Cavalry, tragedy and travesty.”  It’s getting published in small markets, but it’s spreading, believe me.  Call me with corrections, and try to remember to support the Constitution next time, that way you won’t have to answer to Congress.  And by the way, tell my brethren and sistren in public affairs to stand down and desist from propagandizing any further.  This chapter in my book will be appended henceforth to all my contacts.  Ladies, you’re famous, and a million journalists will look into my index over the next few decades to see how easy it was to put you behind bars for treason.  Sucks, eh?  Well, maybe the next crop of PA folks will learn not to conduct psyops against the public.

PS:  By the way, I love it when you guys get so McCarthyistic.  Why don’t y’all get hold of William Shirer’s Rise and Fall of the Third Reich and figure out how to do it right?

Cc’s to Congress
