Fools Part 3
Dear Ms. Hurwitz,
Apologies for my intensity on the phone, but I'm greatly concerned about the state of affairs both at home and abroad. Kindly call me to discuss the below, or call my best man, Chase Untermeyer [telephone number omitted by Editor]. Chase was Asst. Secretary of the Navy under Reagan/Bush and has been my confidant in the matters below from their inception on April 5, 2003 (the Battle of Baghdad). I'll be sending your chapter later.
Captain May
PS: Tell Nadeam el Shami that I do not appreciate his telling me he was not available the last three times I have tried to follow up on the vital matters I related to him then and you on the phone today: the military and media are collaborating to subvert the Constitution generally, and the First Amendment specifically by covering up the Battle of Baghdad April 4-6. He has been extremely remiss in not contacting his bosses. I am shocked that he has delayed transferal of information that was vital to the duty, taken by your leader and myself, to defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic. Its a shame to have to put him in the investigation in so negative a light, but it must be done for accuracy.
Captain May: Thank you for sending this. Rep. Schakowsky shares your concerns about the lack of clear and accurate information. She is an original cosponsor of a bill to create an independent commission on the Administration's actions. Also, she authored an amendment that unfortunately failed to strike the language in the Dept. of Homeland Security exempting it from FOIA and whistleblower protections. I noticed that you quoted Gen. Clark's statement that we need answers we agree.
