Fools Part 3
Again, I found your op-ed in today’s Chronicle thought-provoking and radical – just the kind of thinking we need to avoid a military debacle (which is pending, if I know my field at all). I’ve attached one in return, a piece that is nothing more than an amalgamation of my last three Chronicle geopolitical pieces.
I hope you'll find the piece of interest, and I very
much look forward to receiving the materials you said you had for me. I believe your background as a combat Marine

My next email will contain the material we discussed. I think that your interest will only grow, and I beg any observations or assistance that you might offer.

The attached document is comprised of four op-eds. The first two have been published, the second two still pending until the political situation allows for their publication. I think that it will be the best editorial/op-ed page you've read in a while. I sent it to Harry and Dr. Buzz last week, and they've been passing it around in their academic communities. The letter is to my best friend and best man, Chase Untermeyer. Chase was the Asst. Sec. of the Navy under Reagan/Bush and has encouraged my investigation into the media/military misinformation matrix (apologies for all alliteration). I've sent the package as a press release, a little ruse that I used to get dozens of media contacts. Regards (and again, good op-ed in the Chronicle). I think I'll have to buy your book!

PS: The book is The Color Of Oil, the History, the Money and the Politics of the World’s Biggest Business. I’m looking forward to being edified, Doc.
