September 3, email to Rep. Jan Schakowsky (D)

While you are trying to figure out whether it is a good move to do your duty as a member of Congress, this is what's happening to the brave lady who went on Fox news and said that the situation in Iraq was dangerous.  She didn't know how right she was.  I received the following email from the woman I swore to defend in her husband’s absence:

Cpt. May,

Mike sent me an email asking me to back off a little. Apparently, a threat has been made towards me and the kids. He said it's unlikely, but possible someone might come after us. I think he is also taking some heat. Whatever the case, after I return from D.C. I am going to lay low for a while. I want Mike home, but not in a body bag.

Everybody reading this letter feeling proud?  Here’s the moral conviction of the leader at the user level, folks.  Why do I always have to be the one crying and fighting while y’all hide out and cover up?  Quit being so chicken, or if you’re not being chicken, explain to me just what you are doing!  If the Congresswoman Schakowski has a plan, I’m all for it, but if she doesn’t, I’m going to keep going independently.  The media is cracking, trust me.  Take a look at the kind of grass roots journalists who swinging toward Constitutional duty now that I’m letting the news slip out a bit at a time.

Why are y’all dissing me by playing hide-and-seek with me while I try to save the Constitution?  Shucks, I'm the brave officer who re-activated himself because he took his oath seriously.  You do, too, don't you?  How about we all get off our collective asses and stand up for a woman who has been threatened and harassed by the chain of command both through threats to her husband in Iraq, and by Army Family Support personnel under orders from Brigadier General James Sholar of the 90th Regional Readiness Group.  Folks, can anyone say "fascism?"  If we can't, we're in big trouble, ain't we?  Here’s the simple truth:  Military public affairs has turned into a propaganda machine, information is now a military asset (in contravention of DoD policy and the US Constitution) and the apparatus of military community support is being used to target lawful dissent.  Anyone interested?

Do y’all really want to avoid your duty?  How about you get in touch with me, pronto.

Captain May
