July 17, email to the media of Savannah, Georgia

Friends,

I am sending the truth about why you and your soldiers are in agony to your local media, but they can’t ask questions on your behalf because their networks are being censored.

The 3rd Infantry Division took heavy losses in the Battle of Baghdad, and the Bush Administration has directed the Army to cover it up until they think they can tell the nation the truth and not get thrown out of office.  They will not tell the truth, though, because the truth is that they have lied, are lying and will continue to lie.

May 14 I traveled to Ft. Stewart from my home in Houston, Texas to bring you emergency relief funds.  The funds were received by the office of a Colonel Dennington, a chaplain at Ft. Stewart.  I also gave him the attached essay, “3/7 Cavalry, tragedy and travesty” written for my editorial department friends at the Houston Chronicle, where it sits until the truth comes out.

The piece (below) sets forth my allegations.  Colonel Dennington confirmed the Battle of Baghdad and it losses, and tried to get me to help the Army cover it up by stopping my efforts to bring the matter to the attention of the nation.  He stressed that simply not telling you the truth wasn’t the same as lying.  Well, he’s wrong, and that’s the truth.

Keep reading.  I am with you all the way.  I have wept at your pain and at the death of the brave soldiers who have been buried in obscurity by cowards and liars.  Be brave:  I will end this cover-up for you, for my comrades and for the Constitution I took an oath to defend, even against domestic enemies.

God bless you all

Captain May, MI, USA
