Fools Part 3
September
3, email to Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee (D)
I live in SJL's
congressional district, and I have made several documented attempts, by email,
certified letter, phone calls and personal delivery to SJL alleging that the
public has not been informed of the true death toll of the war in Iraq. I have taken the trouble to have other
constituents do the same, and I have had my wife and lawyer, Gretchen Sonnier, attempt for the last two weeks to set up a meeting
with SJL, but the (soon-not-to-be) rep has demonstrated cowardice rather than
courage, and avoided the meeting by a variety of pretexts. In my hearing and in front of 30 witnesses,
she acknowledged the truth of my allegations, and asked how much time she had
to position herself. Her response was
rotten to the core, given the gravity of my allegation:
Specifically, I alleged to the congresswoman –
beginning in early April – that the Private Jessica story was a diversion by my
former colleagues at military public affairs to distract the public from the Battle for Baghdad,
April 4-6, in which hundreds of Americans died.
My claims are about to be published in media (I am now a journalist),
and will be investigated by a senator who took her oath more seriously than
SJL. Your next contact from me will be a
chapter from my pending investigative book.
I must say, I had hoped to be kind to SJL, but she has played politics
with the lives of our soldiers – many of them African American, and I shall
seek her removal from office. Given the
magnitude of her betrayal of her oath to the constitution, it shouldn't be much
of a problem. Captain May
